Texting Mitts Blog Tour and Giveaway

Retired massage therapist turned crochet designer, Andee Graves, and I have been friends for a while. I was so excited to see that her new crochet pattern booklet, Texting Mitts, is now available from Leisure Arts. It has 8 fabulous patterns for fingerless mitts, so can you can be warm and use your phone all at the same time.

What you’ll love about Texting Mitts:

  • Super Fine Weight Yarn (think sock yarn) means warmth AND flexibility.
  • Designs that work well for showing off fun, variegated yarns as well as solid colors.
  • Variety of designs means you’ll find something for everyone on your gift list.

As a teacher, the booklet has some features I love. Pattern numbers for different sizes are in different colors to make it easy to follow along for your size. Leisure Arts also has a number of stitch tutorials available on their website. They’ve marked different techniques in the book with a video camera graphic to let you know you can go online if you need help with that stitch or technique.

Leisure Arts has been kind enough to provide a copy of Texting Mitts for a giveaway! To enter, leave a comment on this post before 11:59pm EST on February 20th. Tell us what you love about Texting Mitts. This contest is open to those in the US or Canada (or with mailing addresses in those two countries).

Texting mitts make great gifts. Gave my second pair to my all-time favorite author. Planning to make more for wounded warriors & families @ Ft. Sam Houston, TX, USA.

It’s amazing how warm texting mitts/fingerless gloves can keep your hands! Even in the dead of winter here in cold Massachusetts, I rarely need full gloves now. Very handy (no pun intended!) when going in and out of buildings — no need to keep removing and putting back on like you do with regular gloves, so less chance of ending up with losing one.

Texting mitts are great for so many purposes. Anything where it is is chilly but you still want to be able to use your hands for activities.

  9. SierraPelona says:

What I love about texting mitts is that they keep my hands warm while having my fingers free for writing, typing, taking photographs, knitting/crocheting, etc. — the best of both worlds. :)

  10. Carol says:

I love testing mitts because I tend to have really cold hands and just covering up that much of my hands is a tremendous help!
